Brian Goldesberry & Abraham Chappelle founded the Beer Drinkers Union in Stillwater Oklahoma in 1997 as a word-of-mouth collection of friends that met in local taverns to discuss current events. A secret handshake was developed, & in 1999 member cards were distributed & Union Meetings organized.

The purpose of these Meetings was to make community members more familiar with each other, & then use their collective resources to do something to improve their neighborhoods or raise awareness on local & global issues. Many of the members of that first chapter were musicians, so the first year they organized free outdoor concerts in local parks.

Now, nearly a decade later, with our devoted members inducted through the traditions of brotherhood and barley, we bring you global connection & action through the movement we are proud to call The Beer Drinkers Union .
